Excessive body hair is out. Watch out for armpits, legs and your upper lip and a date is not the time to experiment with new cosmetics or fragrances.You don’t want to turn up looking like a drag queen gone wrong.

Don’t fidget. Adjusting clothing or playing with your hair will distract your date from paying attention to your sparkling personality.

Don’t turn up in an outfit you feel uncomfortable in. Whether it’s too big, too small or just isn’t you, leave it in the wardrobe or better yet give it Vinnies. And an outfit you squeezed into 10 years ago is not appropriate. Remember to dress your age!

For Him
Don’t arrive looking shabby. Dirty fingernails, body odour, greasy hair, nostril hair and dry skin are big no-nos. At the very least, clean your teeth and go easy on the aftershave and hair product.

Forget about your boring work clothes and shoes. Instead put some effort into your date outfit.
